Residents are invited to help shape our community by serving on one of Arapahoe County’s citizen advisory boards and committees. In turn, the county benefits from your knowledge, experience and expertise.
All citizen board and committee positions are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Term limits and expiration dates vary, however the majority of positions expire in February. Vacancies that arise mid-year are filled at that time. Applicants may serve on only one board or committee at a time, unless the Board of County Commissioners grants an exception. Meeting dates and times also vary by board.
How to Apply
Applicants need to be either a resident or a business owner of real property in Arapahoe County. Additional requirements vary by committee.
You must complete an application form and attach a resume to be considered for appointment to any position. A separate application is required for each board or committee of interest. Applications are accepted year-round (a position need not be open to submit an application.) The application will be kept on file in the Application Pool.
