Commissioner Rod Bockenfeld

Rod Bockenfeld is serving his third term as Commissioner representing District 3, which includes portions of the cities of Centennial and Aurora, the Town of Foxfield and the towns of Bennett, Deer Trail and unincorporated eastern Arapahoe County.

As Commissioner, Rod is serving as Board Chairman in 2013 and oversees the County Attorney's Office, Office of Performance Management and the BOCC Administration and Communication Services departments. He was first sworn into office in January 2005, re-elected in 2008 and again in 2012. His current term expires January 2017.

Rod represents the County's interests on a variety of boards and committees including: the Board of Social Services, Arapahoe County Housing Authority and Metro Area County Commissioners. He serves on the Arapahoe County Water and Wastewater Authority Board of Directors and is chairman of the Boundary Control Commission.

He also serves as chairman of the National Association of Counties Fiscal Policy subcommittee and serves on Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority and Colorado Counties Inc. Taxation and Finance committee. Rod is a member of the Regional Economic Advancement Partnership and the I-70 Chamber of Commerce.

He was appointed by Colorado Governors Bill Owens, Bill Ritter and John Hickenlooper to serve on the Coroners Standards and Training Board.
