Nancy Jackson is serving her first term as Commissioner representing District 4, which includes the unincorporated area in
north Arapahoe County and portions of the City of Aurora. She was sworn in January 2011 and her term expires January 2015. As
Commissioner, Nancy oversees the Public Works and Development and Facilities and Fleet Management departments.
Nancy represents the County's interests on a variety of boards and committees including the Board of Social Services, Housing
Authority and Metro Area County Commissioners. She serves on the Arapahoe/Douglas Workforce Investment Board, Aurora Mental
Health and Colorado Counties Inc. Agriculture, Wildlife and Rural Affairs, Health and Human Services, Land Use and Natural
Resources, Public Lands Committees, as well as the Justice and Public Safety subcommittee.
She represents Arapahoe County on the Centennial Airport/Community Noise Roundtable, Developmental Pathways Board of Directors,
High Line Canal Working Group and the National Association of Counties Human Services and Education committee. As commissioner,
she also serves on the Justice Coordinating Committee, Capital Improvements Project Team, Community Services Block Grant Advisory
Committee and Sex Offender Management Board.
In 2012, she was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to serve on the Courthouse Security Cash Fund Commission.
