Nancy N. Sharpe is serving her first term as Commissioner representing District 2, which includes Centennial, Greenwood Village,
a small portion of Aurora and unincorporated central Arapahoe County. She was sworn in January 2011 and her term expires January
2015.
As Commissioner, Nancy oversees the Human Services and Open Spaces and Intergovernmental Relations departments. She represents
Arapahoe County on a variety of local and regional issues, including the Board of Social Services, Housing Authority and is
vice chair of the Metro Area County Commissioners.
She serves on the Arapahoe County Water and Wastewater Authority Board of Directors, Arapahoe County Public Airport Authority,
Boundary Control Commission, C-470 Policy committee, Colorado Counties Inc. Legislative committee; Southeast Metro Stormwater
Authority, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District Board of Directors and the Denver South Economic Development Partnership
executive committee.
At a national level, she serves as Vice Chair of the National Association of Counties Aging subcommittee of the Human Services
and Education committee.
Previously, Nancy was Mayor of Greenwood Village.
