Autopsy Technician

Pathology Assistants are trained to assist with autopsies. The real name for pathology assistant is a diener. Pathology Assistants help Dr. Dobersen with every phase of an autopsy, including taking pictures and assisting in trace evidence collection. Pathology Assistants must be knowledgeable about anatomy and physiology, and how the body works. Each assistant undergoes additional training with Dr. Dobersen to become familiar with his autopsy techniques.
