Secure and Verifiable Information
Effective July 1, 2006 paperwork submitted for all new title and duplicate title transactions must include a secure and verifiable
identification used to complete the transaction. All new registrations, temporary permits and new placards for persons with
disabilities also require secure and verifiable identification prior to issuance.
Secure and Verifiable ID is required for the following transactions:
- All Titles
- New Registrations
- New Temporary Permits
- Handicap Placards
Anyone other than titled owner must have Power of Attorney - DR 2175 (Secure Power of Attorney DR 2174 may be required if seller authorizes buyer to sign)
