Nancy A. Doty was elected as Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder in February 2004. Since assuming this position, she has become
a State Certified Administrator of Elections. She is a member of the Colorado County Clerks Association (CCCA) and is Chair
of the Central Region for CCCA. Nancy is a member of the Colorado Municipal Clerks, Election Center, and the International
Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Official, and Treasurers (IACREOT). She serves on the Arapahoe County Executive
Budget Committee and the Audit Committee.
Nancy, as a Certified Public Accountant, has extensive auditing and management experience including serving as Chief Financial
Officer for the Trust Division of Bank One, Colorado, and Chief Financial Officer for the Governor’s Office. Nancy received
the 1996 Woman Leader of Excellence Award on behalf of the Denver Women’s Society of CPA’s, has formerly been an instructor
of accounting, and serves or has served on several non-profit boards.
Nancy has 115 dedicated employees and serves the citizens of Arapahoe County as the designated election official for the county.
She is also responsible for motor vehicle transactions, the recording of real estate documents, and serves as Clerk to the
Board of County Commissioners.
