
The Housing and Community Development Services Division administers the HOME Investment Partnership Funds, which are entitlement
monies received by Arapahoe County through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. These funds are in turn distributed to community organizations for projects that strengthen the ability of local governments
and non-profits to provide housing in Arapahoe County.
Eligible Activities
HOME funds may be used to:
- Acquire, maintain and create affordable housing for low- to moderate-income individuals in the County;
- Rehabilitate housing in Arapahoe County; or
- Assist with down payments and closing costs for first-time homebuyers.
Arapahoe County is strongly committed to affirmatively furthering fair housing through projects funded by HOME funds.
Project Requirements
HOME projects require a 25 percent funding match from sub-grantees. Each project must also meet the following guidelines:
How to Apply for Grants
The HCDS Division accepts applications from community organizations for HOME funds throughout the year. The Division makes
recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for projects to receive HOME funds. The Board of County Commissioners

Funded Projects
In 2012, Arapahoe County received more than $529,000 in HOME grant funds, which were passed along to Community Housing Development
