Housing and Community Development

The Housing and Community Development Services division aims to improve the quality of life for all those living and working in the County, through the provision of affordable housing, employment opportunities, improved public facilities, and recreational and educational opportunities to the County’s low to moderate income and special needs populations.

HCDS provides more than $4 million in local services every year, conducts ongoing studies and analyzes community needs for the future, and oversees the following programs:


NOW ACCEPTING 2011 CDBG APPLICATIONS

Arapahoe County invites non-profits and participating local governments to apply for 2011 Community Development Block Grants. Eligible projects serve low- and moderate-income residents of Arapahoe County.

All applicants, with the exception of returning public services, are required to meet with the County prior to submitting an application.Appointments are generally available on Tuesdays and Thursdays in one hour time slots between 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. and 1-4 pm. Appointments begin Thursday, September 9, 2010 and end Thursday, October 7, 2010.

The submission deadline is 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010.
