Adopt a Road

The Adopt a County Road program allows individuals, families and groups to adopt a section of road in unincorporated Arapahoe County to keep it clear of litter and debris.

Volunteers will collect trash in collection bags, and County maintenance crews will handle picking up and disposing of trash. Guidance and equipment, including safety vests and collection bags, are provided.

Roadside signs with the name of your volunteer group will be  placed along the stretch of road that you adopt, and will alert motorists when a litter cleanup is underway. This is an opportunity to make a visible and immediate impact on the look and feel of the corridors that bring residents and visitors through the County.

Timeframe: Required to conduct two clean-ups per year on any days of your choice.

Location: Select roadways in unincorporated Arapahoe County

Qualifications:

  • Complete a volunteer application form
  • Age 21 or older
