Volunteer Connections, Arapahoe County’s volunteer program, invites you to lend a hand.

By volunteering at the County, you take an active role in your own government, make a difference in the lives of your neighbors, and you help extend our reach into the local communities we serve.

You could mentor a needy child, experience criminal case management or help veterans obtain the benefits they deserve. Get involved in one or more of the many volunteer opportunities that cater to wide variety of interests. You can:

  • Encourage Youth: Mentor, 4-H Youth Development Leader, After-School Activity Leaders, Foster Care Kidz' Night Out
  • Support Seniors: Adopt a Senior, Wellness Training Leader, Veteran Advocate, Yard and Shoveling Assistance, Support for Mature Job Seekers
  • Working in the Legal System: Assist Adults and Youth Completing Community Service Sentences, Make Phone Calls for Court Date Reminders
  • Assist with Special Events: Elections, Arapahoe County Fair, Adopt a Family Holiday Program, Annual Volunteer Recognition Event
  • Strengthen the Workforce: Workshop Facilitator, Support for Job Seekers 
  • Provide Administrative Support: Diverse Clerical Support, Thank-You Note Writer
  • Take Part in Community Action Programs: Adopt a Highway, Adopt an Open Space or Trail, Advisory Boards, Committees, Master Gardener, Wildlife Master
