The Community Resources Director supervises the following Community Resources divisions. The budgets are supported by the
General Fund, except for the Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Division, which is supported by the Job Training Fund (Fund 0015), and
the Community Development and Arapahoe County Housing Authority programs, which are supported by the Community Development
Fund (Fund 0017).
Community Services Block Grant Program services include an extension of the County's regular homemaker program, a youth gardening program, financial assistance
for the administration of the County's weatherization program and pass through of financial assistance to the children's dental
program operated by the Tri-County Health Department. All of these programs provide services to low- income, County residents
utilizing Federal grant monies received from the State.
Food Distribution coordinates and monitors the supplying of commodity foodstuffs obtained from the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the
State Department of Human Services, to nine certified food banks under contract with Arapahoe County and two County Food Stamp
Offices for distribution to needy people residing throughout the County.
