Finance

The Department of Finance efficiently provides accurate, timely and useful financial information and services to the County's internal management, as well as to the general public. Finance divisions and services include:  Accounting Division  (accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, SAP support);  Budget Division  (budget preparation/control, debt management, mill levy certification); and the Administration Division .

Finance's Purchasing Division procures goods and services for County departments, and assures that all departments receive the highest quality and value for budgeted funding, through a procurement process that is held in an open, competitive and fair manner and with the highest ethical standards.

The Department provides support and advice to the Board of County Commissioners, Elected Officials and operating departments related to financial issues, policy and financial planning.

In 2004, the County began collecting sales and use tax for the preservation of Open Space in Arapahoe County.  For more information and contacts regarding the sales and use tax, please see the  Open Space Program  page in the Public Works & Development Department.
