Sick Leave Full-time employees earn 8 hours per month (12 days per year). Part-time employees earn sick leave each month based on the
number of hours worked that month.
Vacation Full-time employees with less than 5 years of service earn 8 hours per month (12 days per year). An increase in vacation hours
occurs when an employee reaches 5 years of service, 10 years of service, and again at 15 years of service. Part-time employees
earn vacation each month based on the number of paid hours worked each month.
Paid Holidays Employees currently receive the following paid holidays as granted by the Board of County Commissioners:

- Martin Luther King's Birthday
- President's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day

- Thanksgiving Day
- Day After Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day

Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) The County complies with the Family and Medical Leave Act which provides leave for serious health conditions of the employee,
or employee's spouse, child, or parent; or the birth, adoption or placement of a child. For specific information on eligibility
requirements, contact Human Resources.
Military Leave As directed by Colorado State Statute, employees receive up to 15 days paid leave per year. During national emergencies, if
employees are called to active duty additional leave with pay may be granted.
Jury Duty Employees are allowed time off with pay when serving on a jury. Any compensation received for jury duty which extends beyond
three days of service must be turned over to the County.
