The Department of Human Services is committed to offering financial assistance and protective services to children, families
and elderly and disabled adults in our community. For more information on our Human Services Divisions, just click on the links below or call 303-636-1130.
The Community Support Services Division supports residents through financial assistance, including (but not limited to) Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Food
Stamps, Medicaid, Aid to the Needy Disabled, Old Age Pension and the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program. This division
also provides protective services to at-risk adults following allegations of abuse, neglect or exploitation. If you suspect an elderly or disabled person is being abused, neglected or financially exploited, please call 303-636-1750
to make a confidential report.
The Child Support Enforcement Division helps children get the financial and medical support they need and deserve by locating non-custodial parents, establishing
paternity and establishing/modifying/enforcing support orders and medical support orders.
The Children, Youth and Family Services Division provides protective services to children and teens, as well as foster care, adoption, adolescent services, court-ordered
evaluations for parental rights following separation and divorce, teen parent programs and other services that help create

Every holiday season, the Human Services Department coordinates the Adopt a Family Holiday Giving program, which invites community members to help make the holidays special for local children, at-risk seniors and families
in-need.
