Our Foster & Adoption program recruits and retains foster, kin and adoptive homes for children who are victims of abuse or neglect, have suffered
loss, or have been removed from unstable, chaotic environments.
We work to find the best possible solution for each child to improve his or her chances of future success, whether it’s being
reunited with biological parents, living with relatives, or being adopted into a new family. To achieve this, however, we
need a resource of stable, caring foster, kin or adoptive homes.
Characteristics of foster and adoptive parents are that they are genuinely concerned with the physical, intellectual and emotional
well being of children in need. They are aware of the crises, stresses and social problems that abused and neglected children
often suffer, and are prepared to handle consequent adolescent behavior, including truancy, running away, and defiance.
