Darryl is a polite and engaging teen who is recognized for his great smile and charming personality. He likes to read and
draw anime cartoons, listen to music (especially Christian Rock and R & B), and play video games. He has started to write
poetry and has shown quite a talent for this. He would love to write song lyrics someday. Darryl also enjoys being active,
playing outside, and playing with animals. He really enjoys learning to cook (and eating!) His goal is to be a chef and
own a restaurant some day. He is currently applying to work at restaurants. He likes to try new things. Darryl loves to
spend time with caring adults and craves attention. He is very outgoing, generally upbeat, and fun to be around. Darryl
is also generous and thoughtful and has a good heart. People are drawn to him. He takes pride in his appearance and likes
to look nice.
Darryl is a really neat teen, but he has had a very difficult life. He is diagnosed with Spina Bifida. He can walk and run
and tries not to let it slow him down. Darryl benefits from therapeutic services and an Individualized Education Plan at
school. He needs a loving, supportive adoptive family who will give him a chance and be committed to him into adulthood.
Darryl is legally freed and really wants to be adopted and have a family of his own.
