Joel is a very sweet teenage boy in need of an adoptive family. He likes being active, working out and swimming at the local recreation center. He also enjoys reading comic books, playing
video games, and playing with his dogs. Joel likes to help with chores and shows pride in his accomplishments. He enjoys spending time with adults.
Joel has a mild developmental disability. However, he is bright in many ways. He tries hard and benefits from an Individualized
Education Plan at school. Joel is a very sensitive child. He needs a strong, nurturing family who is able to give him a
lot of individual attention, patience, and care and commit to caring for him into his adulthood. He participates in therapeutic
services, which will need to continue. Joel would like to remain in Colorado in order to maintain important relationships here.
