Ja'Qir is charming and has a good sense of humor. He enjoys spending time with adults and is generally fun to be around.   He is athletic and likes playing soccer, basketball, football, riding his bike, and skateboarding!  He also enjoys reading and music.  He likes and does well with pets .  He is healthy but does have asthma. 

Ja'Qir is smart and is catching up to grade level at school. He has made a lot of gains this last year.  Ja'Qir benefits from an Individualized Education Plan at school and receives therapeutic services, which will need to continue. He sometimes gets into peer conflicts and is working on following rules.  He can also be very sweet.  

Ja'Qir would do best in a family with few other children where he can get a lot of individual attention.   It is important for him to maintain a relationship with his siblings in other homes.  He is legally freed for adoption.
