Case Aide Unit

Case Aides work to ensure that the well being of children is protected; while enhancing family strengths through respect, support and guidance.

A case aide works with parents and children to help strengthen the family roles while encouraging positive parenting skills. This is accomplished by developing a case plan with many goals aimed to be accomplished in a period of time.

Some responsibilities may include

  • arranging for family and child visitation;

  • assisting with the process of positive parenting time through role modeling, direction and encouragement;

  • building trust among children and family through honesty, reliability and empathy.

To make visits with families productive and progressive, case aides follow a "check list" of tasks to guide ongoing visits.

  • The main goal being to keep children safe and improve parents' ability to interact and parent in a positive manner.
  • Case aides provide the caseworker with knowledgeable assessment of parent-child interactions, which includes complete records of contacts on each visit that has occurred.
