If you believe that a child is at risk for abuse or neglect, please call our hotline at 303-636-1750 to report the circumstances to our trained operators. The hotline is available 24 hours per day, every day of the week. A list of hotline numbers in other counties is available here.

Reports may be made anonymously. The identity of the caller, even if known, will not be provided to the people who may be the subject of the allegation.

Professionals, such as school and child care personnel, social workers, medical personnel, law enforcement, licensed counselors and clergy members, are required by law to report if they have reason to believe a child is or will be subjected to abuse or neglect. View a complete list of Colorado's mandatory reporters.

When you call the hotline, the operator will ask questions to gather as much information about the child and his/her circumstances as possible. This may include questions about the child, the child's parents, the alleged perpetrator and the reason for the referral, including safety concerns, physical indicators and behavioral indicators of the child and/or perpetrator.

Learn what happens after you make a referral.
