
The mission of the Colorado Child Support Enforcement Program is to ensure that parents support their children.Child support is an amount of money that the court orders the parent without custody of the child to pay the parent, relative,
or guardian in whose home the child resides.
In order to help children get the financial and medical support they need and deserve, the Arapahoe County Child Support Enforcement
Division provides the following services:
- Locating parents
- Establishing paternity
- Establishing support orders
- Modifying support orders
- Enforcing support orders
- Establishing and enforcing medical support orders
Child Support Enforcement Services provide these services for a $20 application fee. However, if you are approved for Temporary
Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), your case is automatically referred to the Child Support Enforcement Division and your
application fee is waived.
Get started by applying for assistance in getting a child support obligor (non-custodial parent) to pay and possibly provide medical
coverage for the child or children.
If you a non-custodial parent and are are having difficulty paying child support because you are unemployed or underemployed,
the Parents to Work program can help you find a job and receive related assistance!
Free parenting mediation services are also available to families who have a case with Arapahoe County Child Support Enforcement, and would like help solving
issues, such as parenting time, communication with the other party, or decision-making related to your child(ren).
