If you have not already established paternity (legal establishment of the child's father) with a court order, or if the father
of the child is not on the child's birth certificate, the information you provide on the application form will help us identify and locate a child’s father, establish paternity and a court order for child support and medical support.
The Child Support Enforcement Division will review the application and both parents' information within 20 days of receiving
your application and $20 fee, if applicable. You will receive notice in the mail when your case is initiated. Your case will
then be referred to the appropriate Arapahoe County Case Specialist, who will determine the next best action.
See our Frequently-Asked Questions on establishing a child support or medical support order.
