Parents to Work can help non-custodial parents find jobs and receive needed assistance.
The program is a partnership between the Arapahoe/Douglas Works! workforce center and the Arapahoe County Division of Child Support Enforcement. Best of all, the services are free. With our help, you could
find a job in as little as a week, and begin to create a better life for yourself and your kids.
The program can offer the following services:
Employment Assistance
We will help you find job leads based on your skills, interests and goals. You can receive support with:
- Résumé Writing
- Cover Letters
- Job Applications
- Interview Prep
- Job Placement Services
- Customized support for those with criminal backgrounds, veterans and those age 50 and older
Talent Development
To help you get and keep a job, you may receive referrals for services such as:
- Getting your GED
- Career Assessments
- One-on-One Counseling
- Computer Training
Support Services
We’ll help you obtain support services too. Each person has different needs, so resources are given on a case-by-case basis.
- Reinstate your driver’s license and cover related fees
- Fatherhood Programs
- Work and Interview Clothing
- Transportation Assistance
- Free Legal Clinic
Child Support Services
We’ll help you with matters related to your child support order.
- Mediation for Visitation/Parenting Time
- Arrears Forgiveness
- Expedited Child Support Modifications
- One-on-One Case Management
Keep in mind:Wage garnishments for child support payments will happen, but the more you earn, the more you’ll keep.
