Interstate Enforcement

Child Support Enforcement Services works cooperatively with other states to enforce child support court orders when non-custodial parents live out of state. The Division’s reach also extends internationally to countries including, Australia, the United Kingdom and Poland.

Enforcement Remedies

Each month the obligor (non-custodial parent) receives a child support payment statement from the Family Support Registry. If there is an interruption in payments received by the custodial parent, Child Support Enforcement Services uses a variety of options (known as enforcement remedies) to encourage child support orders are paid. Obligors are notified before the remedy occurs. View a list of the various enforcement remedies.
