On foreclosure actions RECEIVED by the Public Trustee's office AFTER August 1, 2009, there is a Colorado law (H.B. 09-1276) that may apply. This law establishes an opportunity (not a guaranty) for a foreclosure deferment for eligible borrowers meeting criteria
established in the law. The holder or the holder's attorney needs to make a determination if HB 1276 will apply or not apply
to any individual foreclosure case.
