Administrative Services
The Sheriff's support to the criminal justice process extends beyond court security and inmate detention. The Civil and Warrants
Section of Administrative Services provides much of this support. When wanted subjects are apprehended in other jurisdictions
around the country, deputies are dispatched to transport them back for trial in Arapahoe County. Civil Deputies receive and
serve court processes such as restraining orders and evictions to implement orders of the courts.
The Sheriff's Records Section also is a part of Administrative Services. Records receives, processes, files and maintains
the thousands of records generated by the Sheriff's Office each year. The Telecomm Section operates and maintains the Arapahoe
County Radio Backbone providing service to the County and other governmental agencies within the Arapahoe County. In addition
to providing technology maintenance and support to the Sheriff's Office, Information Services researches technological solutions
for criminal justice problems and recommends these solutions to Command Staff.
