Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who once had a drinking problem. It is non-professional,
self-supporting, non-denominational, multiracial, apolitical and almost omnipresent. There are no age or educational requirements.
Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office offers Alcoholics Anonymous meetings to all inmates at the Detention Facility. Community
volunteers donate approximately one hour of their time each week to conduct the meetings. AA material is available for the
inmates upon request. An average of 50 inmates attend AA meetings weekly.
