
Canine Max assists finding drugs/cash inside residence
At approximately 9:40 p.m., April 5, Deputy Carroll and K-9 Max assisted Rocky Mountain High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area
during a consent search of a residence in the 9000 block of East Mississippi Ave. As a direct result of Max’s efforts, $18,000
in cash, five kilos of cocaine, ½ pound of methamphetamine, three pounds of marijuana, and four firearms were located in the
residence. At the time the case was still under investigation.
Robbery suspect apprehended after eviction
At approximately 9:40 a.m., April 19, deputies responded to the Bank of the West, 7310 E Arapahoe Rd. reference a robbery
that just occurred. While en-route dispatch advised the suspect left eastbound on Arapahoe Road driving a green Ford Explorer.
The suspect exited through the same doors and observed leaving in a green older model Ford Explorer.
At approximately noon, information was obtained reference a suspect matching the description at 9940 E Costilla Ave. The subject
had been evicted from his place of business at approximately 10:14 a.m. by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Civil Section.
At the time, he attempted to pay management $2,000 cash to avoid the eviction.
Physical evidence was recovered at the scene connecting the individual to the robbery. He was subsequently charged with robbery
and placed in custody.
Sheriff’s Office raises money for Special Olympics Colorado
Members of the Sheriff’s Office once again partnered with Red Robin employees by waiting tables to raise money for Special
Olympics Colorado on April 17. Over $4,500 was raised at the Greenwood Village Red Robin, making this the top location five
out of the past six years. Over $57,000 was raised during this one day event in 23 locations across Colorado. Special thanks
to Red Robin and the community for making this a great success.
