  
Share the Season with Neighbors in Need!
Adopt a Family is a non-profit organization created by employees of Arapahoe County’s Department of Human Services that seeks to create
a special holiday season for local individuals and families in-need who might otherwise go without gifts.
Adopt a Family provides holiday gifts for Arapahoe County residents who are involved as clients with the County's Department of Human Services--
children and adults who are in crisis, victims of abuse or neglect, or experiencing financial hardship.
We rely on community members, or ‘sponsors,’ from all over the metro-Denver area who graciously offer to purchase and wrap
new holiday gifts for these individuals.
Become a Gift Sponsor
Help to make the holidays a little brighter for a local family in-need as an Adopt a Family Sponsor. Your participation is
as simple as donating gifts from a wish list.
1. Sign up to donate online or by calling 303-636-1851.
2. Our program coordinator will match you with a family or individual whose needs and wishes melt your heart and fit your
budget. You will receive a needs/wish list, which includes the first names, sizes, gender and ages of the people in the household
and a list of items that they requested.
3. Play Santa, and go shopping! Purchase and wrap new items from the family’s needs/wish list.
4. Deliver the wrapped gifts between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on December 3 or 4, 2012 to our special Winter Wonderland (CentrePoint
Plaza, 14980 E. Alameda Drive, Aurora, CO), where you can enjoy the merriment and warm up with hot cocoa or coffee.
Once the gifts have been dropped off, we will contact the recipient family to pick them up. Donators cannot directly deliver
gifts to the adopted families due to client confidentiality. See our Frequently-Asked Questions.
Make a Donation
If you can’t shop for items, gift cards or monetary donations are always welcome. All contributions and purchases toward the
program are tax-deductible, with 100% of the money going to the families in-need.
